Electric Q&A with Mistress Cassidy & slave allan

I think that this Q and A will have some shocking revelations. You could say that you got a jolt out of it. Or maybe you will get all charged up. And I better stop making bad puns before Mistress decides to light my butt cheeks up. If you didn't get a light bulb going off over your head the topic today is electricity. More to the point using specific toys to deliver electrical stimulation during a session to tease and train your sub. So without using another pun, we hand things over to Mistress Cassidy.

Before we begin discussing electric play, I'd like to issue a disclaimer. I love electric play and have been offering it in my sessions for about a decade now. While I feel confident in how my tools work, and how to use them properly; I am not an electrician or a doctor. I initially learned how to use my TENS unit through my chiropractor, who was aware that the tutorial was for the purpose of BDSM play. While I don't care for receiving electric shock, I also allowed a partner to extensively test my equipment on me before ever using it with a submissive. I periodically submit to equipment checks to ensure everything continues to work properly and as expected. If a reader was interested in learning to use electric equipment I would strongly suggest that they seek out in-person instructions from a professional. 

 1: What is electrostimulation or a phrase I just read this weekend electrosex?

 Electro-stimulation and electrosex are just what they sound like, using an electric pulse to create a pleasurable sensation or a painful sensation that one happens to find pleasure in experiencing.  

2: Before going too far, Mistress. Could you tell us the dangers or safety concerns involved with electro stimulation and how to keep a session from going terribly wrong? 

 While I think of electric play, with proper equipment, as being a moderately safe form of play, it poses some significant risks for some people. For people with heart conditions and people with epilepsy, it is, in my opinion, a high-risk activity. Electric play with people with those conditions falls outside of my comfort level, but I don't propose to tell others where their risk-taking meter ought to be set. Ages ago, I had a client create a DIY TENS unit, as much as I wanted to learn about electric play, I declined his offer to be a guinea pig. I believe electric play must be with manufactured devices that meet current safety standards for personal use. My TENS unit is what my chiropractor recommended. There are many inexpensive models available that are safe and appropriate for at home use. 

 3: What is a TENS unit, and how is it used in a session? 

 TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation.  I have an extensive collection of attachments that can be used with my unit. 

 4: What is a violet wand, and why are they so popular?

As I understand it, violet wands began as something of a medical and beauty product, that they were marketed as a way to have clearer skin through increasing the blood flow to an area, or something like that. As far as I know, they have proven unsuccessful in that endeavor but some kinky bastard saw their pervertable potential. I lack the technical terms to best describe what they are but I assume my readers have access to google. 

 5: You said once that you mostly session with males. So what is an electric urethral sound and how does it work?

 An electric urethral sound could be used on a woman as well. Again for technical specifics, try google. Simple description? It's a sound rod that is attached to a TENS unit that can be inserted into the urethral opening and then an electric charge can be sent through it.

6: Sorry Mistress I was ready to wrap it up with 5 questions when this popped into my head. I have been researching TENS unit for my vanilla pain relief. In that research, I found a TENS unit controlled with a smartphone. I am interested in it so my question is. Do you think it can be used as a pervertable to be used in a long distance training and would you think it would be safe?

 Hmm. This is the first time I have come across this idea. I'm sure it could be used for long distance training. I suspect it would be relatively safe, but as it is new to me I'd want to consider it longer and I would try to seek out some guidance from a Domme or sub who had first-hand experience with it.

While I have every confidence that Master Paine will be most attentive to my needs and has even offered his subbie to me for my amusement, this is their first public outing together and Mistress being the voyeur that she is, is very much looking forward to watching their play.
So this is where Mistress has such a special gift for one of my mute little subbies. Mistress will pick one of my subs to attend the party with me. There is a well-equipped play space that includes a cross, overhead suspension, a new spider rack of some sort (I haven't seen this yet myself but I may have a sneak peek Sunday) assorted paddling benches and an outdoor pyre. Master Paine and I will have a very well-stocked toy bag. There will be a brief orientation to attend at the start of the event. It is a body positive, all-inclusive safe space. There is a modest fee for attending. At the last event, there was a very friendly crowd, with people of a range of ages, experience level and orientations. The overall vibe was welcoming without creepy overtones. All activities, including observation, requires affirmative, clear consent. New-to-me subs, as well as established subbies, are equally encouraged to submit for consideration. 

Chastity Training & Key Holding Q&A

Today we are trying something a little different. I am still doing a Q and A with Mistress Cassidy. But this time I am sticking to just one subject. This week I chose one that Mistress has said she enjoys. Male Chastity. I can almost see all the male slaves cringe at the mention of being locked away from their pleasure sticks. I also have a cap on questions this time. I was only permitted five. Mistress is busy flogging naughty subs, and I didn't want to disturb her long in fear of receiving a flogging myself, all be it a verbal flogging :)

Mistress you have revealed on occasion that you enjoy male chastity and
the different devices for chastity training. What makes this fetish so
interesting to you?

There are many aspects of chastity training that I enjoy. While I have never experienced chastity training myself, I believe wearing a cage creates a hyper-awareness of one's genitalia while also reminding a sub of their impotence to act on any 'distractions'. In the mundane world, one might move through their day occasionally distracted by sexual thoughts, interesting sensations or eye candy they stumble across. Maybe one chooses to ignore it or maybe one chooses to masturbate or otherwise address this feeling. Regardless of how one opts to handle it though, chances are unexpectedly throughout their day, their productivity, their focus was taken and redirected for some period of time. While in a chastity device they should experience the opposite in a sense. They are aware of their genitalia all day. They must intentionally, and continuously choose how that energy will be redirected. Instead of being at the mercy of their wandering thoughts, they are embracing their nature. They are literally and figuratively harnessing their sexual energy. 

Could you explain what key holding is? 

 Key holding is when a chastity sub chooses to give his Mistress (or Master) the 'key' to his device. There are so many styles of cages and options for securing them, that this can take many forms. There are silicone and leather devices that in an emergency a sub (or an emergency responder) could cut the device itself off, even if one were using an actual padlock and key lock. In that scenario, the device would be ruined but it greatly reduces the risk the sub has placed himself in. Even if he were unconscious, a professional would see the device & should respond appropriately. There are numbered, locking ties that can be used.  This would lower the risk of destroying the device in an emergency, but for cages that cannot easily be cut away (metal, acrylic) this is probably the lowest risk option. If a sub cuts himself out, his owner will know. One can use a combination lock, and the sub might have the code in a sealed envelope, again assuring that if the sub releases without permission, his top will know. And of course, a padlock with an actual key can be used. Mistress is a bit old-fashioned, and that is the style I find most enjoyable but it also requires the highest level of commitment from the top. If only one key exists, the top is, in essence, agreeing to be available 24/7 to release the sub if needed. Most devices can be cut away in a medical emergency, even most steel cages can be cut through with bolt cutters. But a sub in a cage that he hopes not to destroy, locked with a padlock, must trust that if he develops a minor or moderate emergency his top will release him promptly. Personally, I love to have a key around my neck, knowing that some poor subbie is locked and dependent upon my kindness for his release.                                               

 While doing a task for you on chastity, I discover devices with a urethra sound in the center of it. Can these be used for a prolonged imprisonment of a subs penis? Or are they for briefer sessions? 

     

 Can they be? I suppose they can be, and perhaps there are subs who have experienced this who would be better able to attest to the experience. I am familiar with those styles. I have not used one for anything more than a short, afternoon encagement. While it wasn't the question asked, I'd like to take a moment here to say, I try hard to adhere to a standard of not judging the validity of the experiences of others. 

What is your most favorite style of chastity devices?




I don't have a favorite. I am currently re-exploring styles for a sub that I have recently committed to a high protocol, extended contract, full-time collaring with, and I suspect that we will try several before settling on the best match for him. Which is unlikely to become a go-to or a favorite for anyone else, just as none of the previous ones used with others would be best for him. So many factors must be considered when choosing a cage. The anatomy of a sub must be accounted for, the CB series is not well suited for well-endowed subs. I have had subs literally burst the acrylic when aroused in one. From the other side of the coin, I have had subs who slip out of a CB2000 when flaccid, even on the smallest setting. I account for what a sub does for a living, and what activities he engages in daily. A leather cage can be very comfortable, be utterly undetectable under clothing, but it's more apt to lead to yeast or other topical disturbances with extended use. Stainless is durable, easily cleaned and come in a range of sizes, but the weight can be difficult to endure and they are harder to conceal. I have limited experience with silicone, but that is going to be explored for the sub who will be caged soon.  

Last one an LDR related question. Is there a way, or a discreet device, that could be used by a slave like myself while living with others in the vanilla world, that could be used with my training? 

 Absolutely. It seems that silicone will be the best choice for discretion, but I worry that it may also encourage the growth of yeast & bacteria.

Another Round of Q&A

  Today we venture back to Mistress's studio to find Mistress Cassidy. Mistress has agreed to answer some more questions for us. The topic today is about general BDSM practices. In future Q and A's, if Mistress permits me, I would like to focus on just one topic. That way the people coming into the scene can benefit form Mistress Cassidy's experience. Also, keep an eye out for my blunder. Even with just asking questions a slave can get into trouble. I better get this started before Mistress decides to snap her whip

Could Mistress describe for those new to the scene, what is wax play?I would put wax play under the umbrella of sensory play. Wax play might take the form of simply dripping candle wax from a low-temp burn candle onto a partner's or one's own skinor it could be an elaborate scene of layering waxes, that one might sculpt, carve, peel or whatever your wicked imagination can come up with.


What are sounds?

 Urethra sounds are wands/rods that are inserted into the urethra. They should be medical grade stainless steel and properly sterilized between use or disposable catheters may be used. 

When you watch a BDSM scene on a video clip, when a sub is being flogged the motion of the flogger looks like it is only lightly caressing the sub. Is there a level of pain and discomfort for the sub during these punishments? 
 Floggers are made out of many materials from tickling fur to biting stiff leather. There are many ways to swing a flogger and a whole body's worth of places to land the swing.  I don't know what flogging movies you have viewed so I can't speak to what the sub may have been experiencing. My go-to floggers are a pair of red and black suede floggers with weighted handles. I have been swinging this specific set for at least a decade now, so they are well broken in. I can swing these so they don't touch the sub's skin but simply cause a stir of the air, I can caress like a massage with them, I can do thuddy, rhythmic flogging or I can cause welts with them. I often use them in one hand, doubling the impact. I sometimes hold them above a sub's flesh & just shake them so they tickle the sub. When I do two-handed flogging I might swing them in unison, I might do an alternating swing or if I am feeling particularly rhythmic I might do one forward & one back- I often goof this up after a half dozen swings though. I have several floggers. I have mentioned a few of my other favorites in previous entries. I have a short, maybe 15" stiff rubber that seems to have been made from the same material as a car floor mat. Again, a soft swing will just make a thuddy impact. A swing with some weight behind it will bring welts. I have a super stiff purple leather, that's around 30"s and I would love it except it has a less than comfortable handle. A heavy swing with that will break the skin. Then I have my silver handled weighted, black leather that has 24" or so fells. The handle is very comfortable, and it will also break the skin. I have paracord floggers, I had a beaded flogger- not sure what happened to that now that I am thinking of it. I have latex floggers in a range of lengths, including 6" nipple teasers. Material & swing determine how it feels against the skin. 
   

In a BDSM scene, do some dominants actually use bull whips, cattle prods, and shock collars? Or is that a myth?

 Some dominants use bullwhips. Some use cattle prods. Some use shock collars. At one time I owned an elastarator (gizmo used to castrate goats & cattle), and I used that several times before becoming annoyed with always dropping the itty bitty elastics all over my space & retiring the piece. I have never used a bullwhip, cattle prod or shock collar in a scene. My space is not big enough to use a bullwhip in, and I do not know a qualified user to tutor me in proper use. I imagine cattle prods & shock collars are probably similar to using a TENs unit, but I do not have any personal experience with either.
Have you ever heard of the term pervertable? And if you have, could you tell the new people to the scene what it means?
 A pervertable is a vanilla item that can be used as a kink item. I have a pair of paper holders, I suppose they were intended to hold phone messages or something like that- alligator clips on a spiral of wire attached to a weighted base. Since I use them to clip nipples, we could say that they are a pervertable. A feather duster is a pervertable, a leather belt is a pervertable. There is a song from a kid show that's name is escaping me that features a song called "Anything Can Be a Bookmark" and the lyrics go on to suggest you can use all sorts of things including your grandma as a bookmark. It's quite silly, but just as anything can be a bookmark, anything can be a pervertable. 

For newbies among us. Is there a difference between Femdomme and serving a Mistress?

There is or there isn't based on what the terms mean to the person using them. A Mistress may or may not be a professional Mistress, a Femdomme may or may not be a professional Domme/Dominatrix. One might serve, see or session with either or with a woman who identifies herself as one or the other. Femdomme sometimes means dommes who enjoy a female supremacy style of sessioning.

What is a Findomme, is it a fetish with fish, or a preference to dommes from Finland? ;)

Edit: I remember when I was responding to this Q&A with slave allan. I was in an incredibly cranky mood. I think that contributed to the less than complete response here. A findomme is also a specific fetish. From what I understand as it is not really a type of play I engage in, it is typically strictly about an exchange of money or gifts. The sub enjoys gifting, indulging, perhaps providing for his dominant and his dominant enjoys receiving. But it is also, incorrectly I might add, used as I described below. /End edit 

A Findomme is an (IMO) stupid word someone coined to described a professional dominant woman, aka a woman who charges you to beat your ass. While some women seem to embrace the term, and that's their prerogative, I find it silly at best. Forevermore I'm going to think of a Finish Domme with a Fish thanks to your question. I prefer the term professional, and the average person shouldn't have such a difficult time understanding that professional means one who is compensated for their service. But yet every day I encounter a new newbie who has to have that explained to him, who then often tosses an "Oh you're just a Findomme then and it's all about the money for you" at me. It's late now, I am overtired we may edit this before publication. But you touched a pet peeve of mine. Does the average dude believe that they can contact a stranger, include a dick pic and ask her to truss him up like the Christmas goose and light his ass on fire and that the average woman is going to jump at such a glorious opportunity? And if the average dude knows women who would, he should contact those women & not me. It is not "all about the money", what a ridiculous accusation; but I know of no one who loves their job so much that they do it for strangers for free. I love what I do as much if not more than any of my friends seem to love their job, it is completely reasonable that one of the reasons I love it is because I am compensated very well to do it.  ( I am pleased to say that slave allan was not punished for making Mistress think of a Finish domme with a fish)

What would you say was the most interesting thing you ever did to a sub with ice.
 The most interesting things I have done with ice specifically have been during my personal time not during a session. I have a bit of a thing for ice, I think I forgot to mention that a few Q&As back when you asked about my fetishes. I guess I have done a thing or two with ice in sessions that I suppose is interesting in their own right. I will use ice and my hot stones during a sensory scene.  I have slipped ice into the plastic-wrapped subbie burrito. I have fed bound subs ice when they seem to be overheating. 


I don't know if you're a cold weather girl? Have you ever done an outside winter scene with a sub?
 I am very much a cold weather woman. Also don't refer to me as a girl again. If I opt to on occasion that is my prerogative; you will remember I am an adult, your superior and your owner. I have not actually done any outdoor winter scenes. While I love outdoor play, it is especially challenging. I think it is in very poor taste to expose others who have not consented to be part of your scene to session activities, even if one is very covert about it. Finding a place that one can reasonably expect will be free from mundane by-standers is a challenge on its own, finding an accessible spot in poor weather is more so.

Other than the obvious, is there very much difference between a male and female session?Truthfully I have not had a session with an AFAB (assigned female at birth) woman professionally. I have had a limited number of couples session with me over the years. In my experiences with couples, it has been that the male partner was the primary submissive and the female partner either wished to learn a specific skill and/or wished to witness her partner's session. So even in my experience with couples, I have not really played with a female submissive professionally. Women, in my experience, do not seek professional scenes. I am sure the biggest reason for that is women seldom have a hard time finding a partner who will say that they will accommodate their interests. Which I think is in a way unfortunate, and likely leads to submissive women having much less than ideal experiences with partners of various skill levels before finding a skilled partner that they also connect with.  I wish that more women viewed their fantasy life in the same light they view their other personal needs. I don't think anyone would consider seeing a professional masseuse, for example, inappropriate while in a relationship with someone capable of rubbing their shoulders. While a massage is an intimate experience, no one would think if it as cheating or straying to see a professional when one needs the skill level of a professional.On your FetLife profile, you have pictures of some custom made collars. How would an individual be able to acquire one?

Custom Leather by Master Paine

I do believe I've mentioned my custom pieces by Master Paine on a couple of occasions. slave allan recently included a question in our weekly Q&A exchange, asking for further information about ordering leatherwork through Master Paine. It has always been on the To Do List to add Paine's leatherwork to my site, it's just been the item that rolls over to the next day's list over & over again. See Master Paine has yet to join us in the 21st century and still doesn't have a website, Etsy shop or any sort of formal or informal online presence. Can you imagine? From what I see though, he does manage to stay busy enough through word of mouth and devoted fans like myself. Since he doesn't have a site to link to, makes it a challenge to add a nod to him on my site.
Anyway- I talked to him and have his permission to share some of the photos I have of his custom pieces and to refer any inquiries through my blog to him. So here are some of my favorite custom pieces of mine and my friends:

This is a replica of a Gorian whip/flogger as described in the series. It belongs to one of my besties, a little cutie of a sub with a Gorian fetish. It's about 4 years old now, still stings & thuds like it did when it was brand new.

 This is a Laura Croft inspired, functional garter belt with pouch. This belongs to a friend I haven't seen in so long, but I am certain it's held up to its frequent use.

I can't figure out how to spin this to be upright 😐 This also belongs to the subbie mentioned above.












And this is a hand-carved & tooled, Thor's Hammer, motorcycle bag another friend of mine has strapped to his Harley. He conditions it properly, and while it has aged as expected, it's as gorgeous now as it was 4 years ago.
Somehow I don't seem to have any pictures of my own pieces. Next trip to the studio maybe I'll snap a couple of my beloved silver handled flogger.

Mistress's Weekend Plans

Here it is Thursday afternoon and I realized that while my weekends are normally swamped with vanilla commitments this weekend is not! This weekend Mistress is going to a private fetish party and has ample time available for swinging my flogger at my studio too!  

While the party is a venue I am unfamiliar with and I am going with just one trusted friend, I am super excited to be having some fetish filled downtime. I have a pleasant hum of nervousness for meeting new people, and I high level of expectation for having a wonderful time. 

And I have time for weekend sessions! So many of my favorite subbies to play with have schedules that make weekends better than weekdays. It is so rare that I can accommodate the weekend requests, but this weekend I can. I wish I had taken a peek at my agenda sooner so I could have better shared my availability. But it's all good, my mute little subbies here will know I'm available once I hit "Publish".

Vanilla Q&A

It pleases me to say that Mistress Cassidy has answered some more of my questions. This time I left the dungeon and asked Mistress somethings about herself. I have to applaud and thank Ms. Cassidy on her openness this time around. Once again, I hope you enjoy reading Ma'am answers as much as I did, bringing them to you. So let's hand this blog back to Mistress Cassidy.
You mentioned you like getting flowers. Does Mistress have a green thumb?
This year the season got away from me and all I got in the ground were some flowers, mint & tomatoes. I love gardening and I am absolutely horrible at it. I over water & underwater and touch plants too much as they grow.

 I forget to double check what should be grown near each other and what should be kept apart. I've been actively fucking up plants for oh 15 years or so now, but every season I learn something that sticks and I'm a little better than I was the season before. 
                                               

What kind of plants or flowers does Mistress enjoy?

 My favorite flowers for displaying would be orange roses. I have no idea why, but it seems to me that orange roses last longer and open up more beautifully than any other. I love sunflowers, and most years I have a huge towering array of them. I love mint (especially lemon balm), crocuses, irises, morning glories, oh right love all the flowers and there are too many to list.
          

In your last entry, you mentioned you like anything with water. Have you ever scuba dived, parasailed, water skied, or white water rafting?
OK, maybe I shouldn't have said everything water. I love tanning, swimming, floating and boating. Fresh, salt or poolside. I tried water skiing once. I had dagger length sculptured nails at the time, when the boat pulled me up I lost the handle and ripped 3 nails off at the base. I bled horrifically and thought I had broken my fingers. I haven't worked up the nerve to try again, but I do have natural nails now so maybe next summer.
Is Mistress a camper, or does a holiday entail a roof and room service and an indoor washroom?
That's a funny question. I am frequently reminded by my friends that I use to say "I pay a lot of money to live in a beautiful home, why would I want to pretend to be homeless for a vacation?". Now, my current life goal is to buy a campground in the next 5 years. I met someone who I so enjoyed spending time with that I agreed to go camping with him, and it was such an amazing time that I've spent nearly 2 decades with him and we camp every chance we get. Oh look at that, Mistress gave a slightly wider peek at my vanilla world than I am typically inclined to.
          


Which would best match Mistress's personality? A house with a picket fence, or a condo in a high-rise with a view?
I've had both, and neither works for me. Although I will acknowledge that the condo life had the least amount of work associated with it & at the time it was precisely what I needed. The picket fence, the suburban dream,had far more noise and nonsense than I have the patience for.  A farmhouse with wrap around porch is what I am looking for now.

Does Mistress have a sport she considers herself a fan of?

Oh, gods no. I am not a competitive person. I'm just not wired that way, and I can't wrap my mind around giving hours of my time to watch other people compete. I played basketball as a kid, and I will engage in a friendly game whenever I come across a hoop. But watching others sweat with clothes on is not a fetish of mine.

Who is Mistress's favorite comedian?
George Carlin was my favorite. Here we go again with a totally mundane question making Mistress sad.
           
You mentioned that Mistress has sensitive feet, but is Mistress ticklish?
I am moderately ticklish and I am neither opposed to tickling nor am I overly into it.

If I was a tourist visiting your area. What are some of the points of interest, that you personally think is worth seeing? (Other than your dungeon :)
I'm going to consider all of New England my area and say there is just too much to see, one should plan on staying a long time. There's all the obvious places, the New England Aquarium, the Boston Museum of Science, and all of the Children's museums- Boston, Providence, Portland, the Eric Carle Museum out in Amherst and at least 6 more that I am forgetting. The Ecotarium in Worcester. Faneuil Hall. Newport beaches, the Newport mansions, and Bretton Park. Woods Hole and Martha's Vineyard. Oh, and I didn't even mention anything in NH or Vermont! But you shouldn't do any of these things without a local guide. All of these places have a little place nearby to get the best *insert yummy style food here* spots. When you go to the Ecotarium, you should go to the Eggroll Lady for fried clams. When you go to the Aquarium you buzz over a few streets for the best sushi, no idea what the name of the place is & I couldn't give you directions. My feet know the way, that's how you get there. And if there isn't a tried and true established place to eat, there is a quiet corner that is where you picnic.

Special Rate on 2 Hour Sessions

Mistress has a special treat to share with her mute blog-reading friends first...
In the vanilla world Mistress is house hunting. The goal is to be settled into my new place before my birthday in November. My schedule has been moderately busy, but truthfully I need it be very busy for at least a couple weeks. So I hit the drawing board to see where I could focus to turn up the volume. My ads are running. I'm posting here regularly. I've increased the time I spend on sites like Fetlife & Kinky-Social. I've had a string of new & super fun subbies in the past few weeks, but still not quite as busy as I'd like. And more than not as busy as I'd like, not using my time as effectively as I'd like. My tribute has always reflected that I prefer longer sessions. An hour with a new subbie is just not long enough to establish the right rhythm and enjoy it once it has been found. For most sessions, with new friends or old, two hours really is the right the length. It allows time to catch up or get acquainted. We can move from one idea to the next at a relaxed pace, savoring each component rather than rush between ideas trying to get a sampling of all that I offer. My commute to the studio, my setup time and my clean up time remain the same regardless of the time spent in the session.
I appreciate that sessioning is a luxury service and that it is a financial sacrifice for most of my clients. If you're curious about the types of subs I see, the vast majority are, like myself, owners of small to moderate businesses that they actively work, independent contractors in various fields. I very much enjoy the company of these clients.
So how do I encourage my subbies to book the longer sessions I prefer, while staying within their budgets? I'm lowering my tribute for two-hour sessions. I'm not sure how long I will run this special for, it is not a permanent change. But if you schedule a two-hour session while I am running this special, the special rate will remain your 2-hour rate for as long we session together. It is for a 2-hour session ONLY, but it applies to all the sessions I offer. And the number is.... $350. A hundred off my regular two-hour rate. I will commit to offering it to at least the first 10 responders I have, the pace that takes will determine if I run it longer.
I'm giving my mute friends here the first opportunity to schedule their sessions at this rate. Tomorrow I'll start promoting it on other sites.

Thoughts on Being a Dominatrix and slave allan's Latest Post

I have added a new component to my long distance slave allan's training. He was given the option of sharing it in his blog and opted to do so. The post can be found here: slave allan. It's a rather more vulnerable post than what followers of his blog might normally see. When I read it to approve it before posting, I realized it was a sharable moment in someone else's words that illustrates why I love what I do.
It isn't that I have a particular interest in dictating one's diet or activity level. I am not a professional dietician or fitness trainer, which of course slave allan is aware of. My interest, what thrills me about being a Dominatrix, at the risk of sounding a little new-agey- woo-hoo, is that my subs will show me their soul. Maybe it's an extreme form of voyeurism, but that is what excites me to witness. It happens in the vanilla world occasionally. If you push, if you really engage with the people you meet, sometimes they'll share something deeper than the weather with you, but it is so rare. Even with the people you're closest to; we all have our baggage. Everyone has some, completely reasonable, self-preservation barriers that they keep up.
I'm a huge fan of Ann Rice. In her version of vampirism, vampires can hear each other's thoughts, unless it is a vampire one has made. I read Interview with a Vampire the first time when I was seventeen. I remember being unable to suspend belief and accept that as part of the story. How can that be how it works? The people one is closest to, shouldn't they be the ones who can hear you the loudest? Know you the best? Magical, mythical creatures of extraordinary abilities and they can't hear if their offspring loves them or loathes them. It just seemed unbelievable to me, and wise 17 year old me was certain that's not how life worked.
But it is, isn't it? We can not read anyone's mind of course, but we hold back what we are passionate about, what inspires us, sometimes even from the people who stir that passion or inspire us directly.
As a dominatrix, strangers share their souls with me. Typically it is only a glimpse, my hubris is not so great as to believe that I see all of who they are either, but it does tend to be the glimpse that they share with few if any others. In my dungeon, things that can not be put into words are articulated and brought to life.
